We collect information directly from you when you create an account, sign in, take or upload meal photos, generate nutrition results, create AI health reports, manage your subscription, or contact support.

AI Processing

AI NutriSnap uses OpenAI to help analyze meal photos and generate nutrition reports. Before we send data to OpenAI for AI processing, the app displays an in-app disclosure and asks for your permission.

For meal photo analysis, your meal photo is sent through our secure backend to OpenAI so OpenAI can estimate calories, carbohydrates, protein, and fat. We may also send basic request context, such as your subscription tier and language preference, so the app can provide the correct analysis experience.

For AI health reports, your selected report range, meal count, and nutrition totals, including calories, carbohydrates, protein, and fat, are sent through our secure backend to OpenAI to generate a summary and nutrition guidance.

We do not intentionally send your name, email address, or payment information to OpenAI for meal analysis or report generation. OpenAI processes this data under its own privacy and security commitments, and we require our service providers to provide the same or equal protection for personal data as required by applicable law and App Store requirements.

Data Sharing

We may share data with third-party service providers only as needed to operate the app, including authentication, cloud storage, subscription management, advertising, and AI processing.

When you agree to AI processing in the app, we share the specific meal photo or nutrition report data described above with OpenAI through our backend service. We do not sell your personal data.

We retain your data for as long as needed to provide the app’s functionality, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

If you delete your account in the app, we delete your account profile, meal history, saved reports, and uploaded meal photos, except where we are required or permitted to retain limited information for legal, security, fraud prevention, or billing compliance purposes.
